We saw our crowdfunding campaign smash Crowdcube records – raising £1m in 4 minutes, and £6m in less than 5 hours. This news whipped up a media frenzy and eyes from all corners of the financial services and VC industries were focused on Curve. As we were riding high from our crowdfunding success, it was announced that Curve had been shortlisted in LinkedIn’s coveted top UK startups list of 2019; naming Curve has one of the hottest companies to work for in the U.K 🔥
Curve’s growth since we launched out of Beta last year may not have been as widely documented as others in the Fintech space. We’re not yet on TV, radio or plastered all over the Tube (but watch this space). A significant amount of our growth has been driven through referral and word-of-month by our biggest brand advocates – our customers.
This advocacy has now spilled over into the professional world and our reputation as one of the best places to work has been recognised by Linkedin – the world’s largest networking platform. The accolade is a testament to the environment our team continually work to create.
There were no fabricated entry packs, clichéd video pitches littered with new-age maxims or ways in through the back door. LinkedIn’s data scientist and editorial staff parse billions on actions taken by all of its 645m (yes, 645 MILLION!) members, looking at 4 key areas:
- Employee growth.
- Jobseeker interest.
- Member engagement with company & its employees.
- Talent pull.
We won’t bore you with any facts or figures but in the simplest terms this means that we’ve been doing a thing or two right! We don’t have videos of smiling people playing ping-pong and photos of designers pointing at post-it notes. Everyone has seen this a million times before and these images can just as easily be pulled from a generic stock library.
Curve isn’t a soft-play area with slides between floors and coffee runs on scooters. We are a company that relishes working with ambitious and driven people who want to achieve the impossible.
